WORLD. LEVEL. DESIGN.
I'm Marco Turzynski a World/Level Designer, currently working at Avalanche Studios Group.
I love taking walks and observing the spaces that we move through, learning to understand why they are built the way they are and what makes us people understand where to go. This is something that can also be seen in spaces out in nature and why I always say that World and level design are the same pallet but the workflow is the difference in the brushes used.
I love level/world design because if done right, it can leave an ever-lasting experience and memory for the player. How we blend lighting, sound, VFX, shapes, and forms to enthrall the player in an experience but also lead them to new ones. It is the work process of creating these feelings for the player that inspires me.
When I don’t get lost in spaces I love painting miniatures to use in DnD/tabletop games, I also enjoy climbing which is a new hobby of mine and while I don’t work as a chef anymore I still enjoy cooking very much and share food with others.
